Qatar develops digital strategy for a sustainable and smart nation

Qatar is developing a digital strategy aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to make the nation more resilient, sustainable, safe, and smart. In his remarks to the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 (WSIS), a senior official said that collaboration and constant exchange of information are key catalysts for continuous change and development.

ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao delivered the opening remarks. Mashael Ali Yousef Al Hammadi, acting assistant undersecretary of government information technology affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), spoke about the plans Qatar has for the WSIS Forum.
